HOOPER – Peacefully after a very courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family, at VON Sakura House, early on Monday, January 25, 2010, Muriel Elizabeth Hooper of Woodstock, and formerly of Montreal, at the young age of 49. Beloved wife of Mark Benard. Cherished mother of Cassandra Benard of Woodstock, Jessica Benard of Pierrefonds, QC, and Charles Benard of Woodstock. Sister of Billy and Ann Hooper, Ronald Hooper, Donald Hooper, and Joseph Hooper, all of Montreal. Daughter-in-law of Joseph Benard of Laval, QC and Doreen Hurst of London. Sister-in-law of Cindy and Murray Hamilton of London and Gerry Benard of Montreal. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Reginald and Georgina Hooper. Friends will be received at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock, on Thursday, 7-9 pm. Funeral Service in the chapel on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 1:00 pm.
